Continuum

Continuum was my first single to ever be released, and has for a long time also been the most successful Polylight song. The repetitive ABS pipe synth pattern can be found throughout the entire song, continually repeating as in trance. Looming synths introduce the listener to a distant world, which soon opens up in a big rise for the beat.

Continuum is a song that does not follow any particular shape. The rules are simple - there are four chords, and these are repeated for as often as I want, always accompanied with different instruments, sometimes aggressively, sometimes soothingly.

At some point, an electric guitar solo marks the highlight of the song, which then calms back down into synth arpeggios, before opening up once more for the final PHAT BASS ending.

I love this song.
