Terra Nova
This is just a small fun project. Robert, aka Kosro, a producing buddy of mine, once invited me to his studio with the intent of jamming a little. I had just very recently bought my electric violin, and thus we hooked it up to his PC and recorded a couple of samples. He had written a song inspired by the game Terraria (correct me if I'm wrong R), and I was quite quickly reminded of the Colony 9 soundtrack from Xenoblade Chronicles (what an amazing game that is, let me tell you that).
So I played something similar. And it sounded great! A few days later, Robert and I met randomly at our cafeteria at university, and he showed me how he had processed our recordings. Kosro, the master of sample chopping, had quantized the violin and added some amazing pizzicato effects to it. I was frankly impressed. And that's how we got Terra Nova!
